This series will be held every other Wednesday from 4pm-5pm
The overarching goal of this ECHO series is for healthcare providers who care for patients with substance use disorder to become familiar with the current treatment guidelines to manage care including during the prenatal and peripartum time frame, and to manage the care of substance exposed infants at risk for neonatal abstinence syndrome.Perinatal Content developed from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Treatment Guidelines for Pregnant and Parenting Patients with Substance Use Disorder.
Educate and provide resources to care providers who see patients with substance use disorder including patients at every stage of the fertility cycle, obstetric, and perinatal period.
Introduce a network of peer mentors to share best practices, community resources, and provide support and collegiality to others who are doing the same type of work throughout the Commonwealth.
Deliver ongoing updates to tools, resources, policies and procedures through brief and interactive didactic presentations delivered by experts and specialists
